Mediera's Innovation Ventures is the venture studio and R&D arm of the ecosystem. It develops new products, pilots, and brands entry into the sustainable built environment — from concept and prototype through to market launch — in collaboration with universities, technology partners, and ecosystem co-founders.

Innovation Ventures operates at the boundary of what is commercially proven and what needs to be invented. It is where Mediera tests ideas that do not yet fit neatly into Sustainable Building Solutions, Advisory & Consulting, Smart Materials and Trading — and builds the evidence base that eventually makes them scalable.

What Innovation Venture Does

Venture Studio

Incubates new concepts within the Mediera ecosystem, providing structure, resources, and partner access to early-stage ideas in sustainable construction, circular materials, digital infrastructure, and community tech. It works with co-founders, university researchers, and social entrepreneurs to move ideas from whiteboard to pilot.

Current venture concepts in development include:

Digital twin and BMS integration pilots for existing building stock
OPF-based panel systems for commercial fit-out
Micro-factory models for local TBU fabrication (in development with ADNU TBI, Bicol)

R&D in Advanced Materials & Smart Technology

Working through Mediera Labs, this conducts applied R&D on:

New material systems (bio-composites, self-healing concrete, low-carbon panels)
IoT and sensor integration for building performance monitoring
Digital twins for real-time asset management
Blockchain-backed material traceability and carbon credit verification

Strategic Investments & IP Holdings

Holds and manages Mediera's intellectual property portfolio, including licensed modular design systems, proprietary frameworks (TBU tiers, TPMAS, MER Zero-to-Hero Scan), and equity positions in aligned ventures.

University & Ecosystem Partnerships

Manages Mediera's academic and innovation ecosystem relationships, including:

ADNU TBI (Ateneo de Naga University Technology Business Incubator) — joint pilot development and microfactory programme in Bicol, Philippines
TSD Design Studio — design, digital tools, and implementation collaboration across Singapore and SEA

Licensing & Commecialisation

Where concepts reach commercial viability, we support licensing, spin-out, or integration into Sustainable Building Solutions - Smart Materials Trading delivery. This includes market entry strategy, partner identification, and go-to-market documentation.
