TBUs are Mediera's flagship modular building system — prefabricated, rapidly deployable units designed for tropical climates and community-scale applications. They are available in three tiers based on specification, material standard, and use case:
Entry-level modular unit using circular and locally-sourced materials. Suited for emergency shelter, transitional housing, and rural community facilities.
Mid-specification unit incorporating low-carbon composites, passive cooling design, and solar-ready roofing. Suited for permanent affordable housing, schools, and clinics.
Full-specification unit with advanced material systems, digital twin integration, and full green certification compliance. Suited for innovation precincts, eco-districts, and demonstration projects.
InstaHub is a product-led configuration of the TBU system focused on rapidly deployable community and workspace hubs. Designed for under-served or climate-vulnerable locations, InstaHub units can be configured as learning centres, micro-workspaces, health posts, or community gathering spaces — fabricated off-site and assembled locally with community labour.
Floating & Stilted Housing — Resilient solutions for flood-prone, coastal, and waterfront sites, combining climate-adaptive engineering with local materials and construction practices
Panelized Construction — Pre-fabricated wall, floor, and roof systems that minimise site disruption, accelerate timelines, and support easy expansion or reconfiguration
Emergency Shelters & Healthcare Centres — Fast-response adaptable units for humanitarian, disaster, and health contexts, deployable within days
Urban Greening Integration — Vertical agriculture, green roofs, living walls, and community farming components integrated into building design for food resilience and biodiversity
All projects draw on material palettes sourced and validated through our Smart Materials & Trading Unit.
Examples Include:
Self-healing and recycled concrete
Certified bamboo and reclaimed timber
OPF (oil palm frond) fibreboard panels
Coir-based insulation and composites
Upcycled agro-waste (rice husk, palm fibre)
Full material traceability from source to site supports carbon credits and transparent reporting.
Flood-resistant foundations and elevated structural systems
Passive cooling strategies: high roofs, cross-ventilation, thermal mass
Solar-ready roofing across all TBU tiers
Modular adaptability for changing site conditions and future expansion
Affordable urban and rural housing
Schools, clinics, and social infrastructure
Emergency and disaster response shelters
Coastal and flood-zone redevelopment
Innovation precincts and eco-districts
